Workshop
Writing Through the Fire
A small-group workshop for writers working through loss, rupture, or the aftermath of love that didn’t hold. Bring what you’re carrying — leave with the beginning of a poem.
No experience required, and nothing to prepare. This is not a therapy group and it is not a masterclass — it is two hours in which the difficult thing is allowed to be the material, handled with craft rather than pity. Poems, essays, screenplay pages and unfinished fragments are all welcome on the table.
One
We read something short together — a poem that does the thing you are trying to do.
Two
You write, in the room, from a prompt built for the week. Twenty minutes, no editing.
Three
Whoever wants to reads aloud. Response is specific and kind: what landed, what wants air.
Four
You leave with a draft, a line to keep, and one thing to try before next time.
