The Sagrada Família

a portrait of Cecilia

She was never meant to be finished quickly. Some things take longer than the world has patience for — towers reaching in every direction, colours that have no right to be *that beautiful together.* They bombed her once. Eight years of blueprints, turned to ash. *That was Khanh.* And yet — the walls held. The stone remembered its shape. *The towers kept their reaching.* Because you do not need to be finished to be worth entering. *You do not need to be complete to take someone''s breath away.* She will be finished one day. Not by him. *By herself. In her own time. In her own colours.* *And it will be extraordinary.*
