Gentle Orbit

September 5th, 2025 — after London, before Emma's birthday. She asked him to give it a title. He never did.

You came into our lives like sunlight, Gentle on her warm heart, A warmth that turns seedlings Into blooms that she clutches like treasure. You took us on adventures, Laughter spilling over waves and sand, And with me by your side in London, The city feels softer, more ours. I watch you — kind, present, alive — And my heart stretches, A quiet longing wrapped in gratitude, Yearning to be always near you, Always part of your gentle orbit.
